Certified Animal Behaviorist

Certified Animal Behaviorist at your fingertips

Why hire a Certified Animal Behaviorist?

Canine Animal Behaviorists study the way animals behave and try to determine what causes the types of behavior and what factors can prompt behavior change. This is just one specialty that our owner Sharon specializes in.

Many times, owners do not know what to do with the behavior that their dog has. They feel that they have tried everything, and their dog is still behaving the same way or worse. When the dog finally bites someone, most owners first response is to give the dog up.  What owners do not recognize are the non-verbal cues that their dog has been giving them. When you do not recognize or understand what the dog is telling you, then is it very difficult to make a change. As humans we are very verbal and often times do not recognize or pay attention to what the dog is telling us. Remember now…. Dogs speak nonverbally to us. Yes, they bark, that is natural for them. Yet Humans and Dogs to not speak the same language.

This is where Sharon’s expertise comes in. She will evaluate your dog, talk with you regarding your concerns and help you put a plan together with you and your fur baby. To ensure success, Sharon will re-create the situation the best that she can and show you how to modify the behavior that your dog has. You will start to see a difference with your dog in a short period of time. To ensure success, after the session it is now the owner’s responsibility to follow through and continue the training.

Training is a lifestyle change. At first it will be out of your normal routine yet as time goes by, it will become second hand to you.
